Agreement to These Terms
By using StartRight Home, submitting a match request, accessing a portal, or communicating with us through the service, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. StartRight Home is operated by Pro Gear Guys LLC dba StartRight Home.
What StartRight Provides
StartRight Home helps homeowners prepare project briefs and may introduce them to matched contractor partners based on project type, location, availability, and other fit signals. We may limit introductions to up to 3 matched contractor partners.
StartRight Home currently serves Colorado homeowners and Colorado contractor partners. We may decline or pause requests that fall outside our service area, available project categories, partner coverage, or operational capacity.
Contractors Are Independent
Contractor partners are independent businesses, not employees, agents, or representatives of StartRight. StartRight does not perform contracting work, control contractor pricing, guarantee contractor availability, or make hiring decisions for homeowners.
No Guarantee of Results
We work to evaluate practical fit signals, but we do not guarantee that a contractor will contact you, provide a quote, accept a project, meet a timeline, or deliver a specific outcome. Homeowners are responsible for reviewing bids, references, insurance, licenses, permits, warranties, and written contracts before hiring.
Any estimate, shortlist rationale, vetting note, sample bid, or project guidance is informational only. StartRight does not provide legal, financial, design, engineering, architectural, tax, insurance, or construction advice.
Homeowner Consent and Communications
When you submit a match request, you authorize StartRight to use your information to provide matching services. Contractor names stay hidden until you approve a match. After you approve, that contractor may contact you about your project by email, phone, or text based on the contact details and preferences you provide.
Text messages may include project status, recommendation links, application links, and other service-related messages. Message and data rates may apply. Where supported, you can reply STOP to opt out of texts. Opting out may limit our ability to deliver the service by text, but we may still communicate through other permitted channels.
Fees and Partner Compensation
StartRight Home is free for homeowners. Contractor partners may compensate StartRight for introductions, accepted opportunities, or related services. Any project price, deposit, payment schedule, or contract is between the homeowner and the contractor.
If you are a contractor partner, you authorize StartRight to charge your saved payment method for approved homeowner introductions according to the fee shown or otherwise agreed for that project. Failed payments may pause delivery of introductions or portal access until resolved.
Billing questions, refund requests, and disputes must be sent to support first at support@startrighthome.com. StartRight may review project context, consent records, delivery status, and partner account history before approving any refund or billing adjustment.
Contractor Partner Expectations
Contractor partners agree to provide accurate business, licensing, insurance, service-area, pricing, reference, and capacity information. Contractor partners must contact homeowners promptly, respectfully, and only about the project for which the homeowner approved an introduction.
StartRight may review, approve, waitlist, suspend, or remove a contractor partner at any time if we believe it is necessary to protect homeowners, preserve service quality, address billing issues, or operate the marketplace responsibly.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the service, submit false or misleading information, interfere with site security, scrape or copy the service at scale, impersonate another person, or use StartRight for unlawful or harmful purposes.
Content and Intellectual Property
StartRight Home, including its design, text, logos, workflows, and software, is owned by StartRight or its licensors. You may use the site for its intended purpose, but you may not copy, reproduce, resell, or create derivative services from it without permission.
If you submit content, files, project details, references, notes, bids, or feedback, you give StartRight permission to use that material to provide, operate, evaluate, document, and improve the service. You are responsible for having the rights needed to share anything you submit.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The service is provided as available and without warranties to the fullest extent allowed by law. To the fullest extent allowed by law, StartRight is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for contractor acts, omissions, pricing, work quality, warranties, or disputes.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, StartRight's total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid StartRight for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the 3 months before the claim arose.
Accounts and Access
Staff and contractor portal access may require authentication. You are responsible for keeping sign-in links, passwords, devices, and account access secure. We may restrict access if we believe an account is misused, compromised, inactive, unpaid, or no longer eligible.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The parties will first try to resolve disputes through StartRight support. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Colorado unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service changes. The updated date above shows when the latest version took effect. Continued use of StartRight after updates means you accept the revised terms.
