Who We Are
StartRight Home is operated by Pro Gear Guys LLC dba StartRight Home. This policy applies to StartRight Home websites, forms, portals, messages, and contractor matching services. We currently operate for Colorado homeowners and Colorado contractor partners.
Information We Collect
From homeowners, we collect information you provide when you request a match or contact us, including name, email address, phone number, ZIP code or city, project type, project scope, budget range, timeline, decision status, project priorities, optional notes, appointment preferences, and consent records.
From contractor applicants and partners, we collect business and contact information, service areas, project types, capacity, pricing, vetting details, references, insurance or license details, application responses, sample bids, uploaded files, portal account information, and billing setup status.
We also collect communications and operational records, including emails, text messages, support requests, internal CRM notes, shortlist decisions, introduction approvals, billing events, refunds, and message delivery status.
We may collect technical information such as IP address, browser or device information, pages viewed, referring URLs, cookie or similar storage identifiers, form security signals, and usage data from our site, servers, security tools, first-party operational analytics, and optional analytics or advertising tools when you have allowed optional tracking.
Cookies and Optional Tracking
We use essential cookies and similar storage to run the site, protect forms, support login, remember privacy choices, route short links, and deliver services you request. Essential cookies are required for StartRight Home to work safely.
We use first-party operational analytics to understand anonymous site sessions, page views, referring sources, clicks, consent choices, and form progress. These records use random browser and session identifiers, hashed request metadata where used, and do not include homeowner names, emails, phone numbers, or project message text.
Analytics and marketing cookies, including Meta Pixel and related conversion attribution, may run when you visit our public site. You can opt out of targeted advertising and optional tracking using Your Privacy Choices. If you opt out or use a browser privacy signal that StartRight honors, we do not send optional browser or server-side Meta tracking events for that browser.
We may keep a limited consent record showing your choice, consent version, policy version, source page, and hashed request metadata so we can honor and audit privacy choices. We do not use that consent record for advertising. Cookie choices are generally stored for up to 180 days unless you update or clear them sooner.
How We Use Information
We use information to create and manage match briefs, evaluate project fit, communicate with you, introduce you to matched contractor partners, operate the site and portals, review contractor applications, process partner billing, provide support, improve our services, prevent misuse, maintain records, and comply with legal obligations.
When targeted advertising is enabled, we may use limited site and conversion information to understand which pages and ads lead to real contractor-match requests. We do not use optional ad tracking when you opt out or an honored browser opt-out signal is active.
When We Share Information
With your authorization after you approve a match, we may share your project and contact information with that contractor so they can contact you about the project. We may also share information with service providers that help us host, secure, authenticate, email, text, analyze, advertise, map service areas, process payments, support staff workflows, and operate StartRight Home. These providers may include database and authentication providers, email and SMS providers, payment processors, map and location providers, analytics and advertising platforms, and business software vendors.
Contractor partners may receive homeowner project and contact details only after the homeowner approves the introduction, unless we need to share limited information earlier to prevent misuse, troubleshoot support, or comply with law. Payment card entry is handled by Stripe; StartRight stores payment identifiers and limited card details such as brand, last four digits, and expiration date, but not full card numbers.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate misuse, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset transfer.
Partner Compensation
StartRight Home is free for homeowners. Contractor partners may compensate StartRight for introductions, accepted opportunities, or related services. This compensation does not change the homeowner cost of using StartRight.
Your Choices
You can choose not to submit a match request. You can contact us to ask for access, correction, deletion, or help with a privacy concern. Some information may be retained when needed for security, legal compliance, audit records, dispute handling, or legitimate business operations.
You can opt out of targeted advertising and optional tracking using Your Privacy Choices / Do Not Sell or Share. You can opt out of text messages by replying STOP where supported. If we send marketing emails in the future, those emails will include an unsubscribe method.
Data Retention and Security
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, manage relationships, maintain records, and satisfy legal or operational needs. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee perfect security.
Children
StartRight Home is intended for adults arranging home services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Colorado and Other Privacy Requests
StartRight Home is currently focused on Colorado. Depending on your location and our legal obligations, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, receive a copy of, or opt out of certain uses of personal information. We will review privacy requests in good faith and respond as required by applicable law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as StartRight Home changes. The updated date above shows when the latest version took effect.
